Rear Axle Oil Seals. You will note from the Daily Report that we are again experiencing escape of axle oil from the drain on the O.S.R.carrier plate. It is in fact worse than ever. We note that both on this car and on 35-EX. the leaks have occurred soon after a fast run, and we are wondering if the oil seals deteriorate either temporally or permanently under the effect of the high temperatures reached in the axle. We also note that the leaks frequently stop again without attention. ------------ Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
