20-HP PETROL TANK.

With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M23.5.28., with which you sent us N.sch: 2612 showing altered position for the two level device, we have looked further into the question of removing the filters from the tank, and find that by plotting the actual path taken by the filters, it is not necessary to make such a drastic alteration as indicated on our LF.820 and we send you herewith a revised print of this drawing on which we have shown the suggested line for the rear of the coachwork which we consider will allow the filters to be withdrawn.

Messrs. Hoopers have confirmed that the body line as now proposed will give sufficient clearance to enable the filters to be removed, therefore if you are in agreement we will arrange for same to be shown on all future chassis prints.

Since the above eliminates our difriculty, we should not think it worth while to go to the expense of moving the filters as shown on N.sch: 2612. Will you please instruct us on this point.

In regard to the sump, we will arrange for the shallower type to be introduced on the next series.
