3.B.IV.

We have mentioned to WSC.{W. S. Cassel} that we should like the following modifications on 3.B.IV - if any of these means that the car will not be ready by Christmas, we will leave them off:-

(1) Servo off 6.B.IV. with RAD.13 linings.

(2) Brakes. Front linings- BZ
Rear linings - S6611
Front drums in cast iron - supplied by AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}
Rear " aluminium with Laystall liners.
Short anti-judder lever on brakes.

(3) If 56.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} returns in time we wish to remove the oil scheme GL.{G. Linnett}833 and fit it to 3 B.IV.

(4) Propeller shaft damper to have cast iron wheels on a brass hub.

(5) Gearbox examined for broken parts, and bring up to standard for backlash.

(6) Check fit of clutch plate on first motion shaft.

(7) Make sure propeller shaft is O.K.

(8) Rear springs FB.2171 900 lbs fitted with Firths special clips - these arein the stores.

(9) Front axle control RR.Sch.966, removed from 6.B.IV.

(10) Copper pipe between governor unit and frame.
