X. 4215 To Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T10.2.22. ___ X.4215 - BLERIOT PHI CUTOUT ___ With reference to Messrs. Bleriot's letter of February 8th (attached) the Bleriot type cutout is in our opinion the very best cutout with which we have had experience. We had hoped that Mr. Royce would adopt this on the GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine electrical system, as he showed great interest in it when it first came to our notice. He has, however, designed an R.R. cutout for the GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine. There seems, therefore, little probability of our requiring any further of these instruments at present. In the temporary GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine C.A.V. electrical equipment, I have included the Bleriot Phi cutout and it is just possible, though not likely, that these might be required if it were decided to [handwritten: produce a] the number of GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engines with other than R.R. electrical equipment.
