-2- they will be able to get over their trouble in time. Providing the scheme works it should be an ideal form of filtration if used in conjunction with a By-pass filter. The Writer, whilst at Dennis Bros. saw one of their small four-cylinder engines stripped having lead bronze bearings fitted. Milne explained that they were having trouble with the centre main bearing, and were anxiously waiting bearings in A.C. alloy as they had now no faith in lead bronze for the job owing to the high co-efficient of expansion causing the bearing to tighten in the housing and seize. They were anxious to complete certain tests and were making shift with the lead bronze, and were actually expecting Mr. Blackith to bring along some bearings yesterday. Dennis Bros. have more faith in the A.C. alloys than any other material, and are most anxious to get supplies. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Matthews. | ||
