Letter requesting the manufacture and cost of a set of five light wheels for testing on a Vauxhall car.

Dear Sir, We would like to gain experience of a light wheel similar to those you made for Vauxhall and described in your letter dated 22nd October 1940, and suggest that you make us up a set of five wheels with centres as shown in your drawing, but with 3" rims in place of the 3 1/2" rims shown. The offset between the bolting face and the centre of the rim would be 1 3/4" as shown. We figure that, using the gauges shown in your drawing, the weight of the wheel would be 12 lbs. 5 ozs. We have a Vauxhall 10 H.P. car on which we could try these wheels. Before you go ahead on the five wheels mentioned above we would like to know the cost of these including any tool charges.
