To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X. 8430 S E C R E T. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M2.4.25. SERIES 'V' STEERING. Further to our letter of yesterday re. steering, we send herewith N.sch.1973 shewing the suggested nut made like the 20 HP. A further suggestion is that this nut, or another one, should be made in steel, with a whitemetal lining. The difficulty of course is the hardened trunnion surfaces in combination with the whitemetal lining, but we believe that this operation can be done. Perhaps Production will let us have their remarks. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
