Tests on tappet clearance and noise levels on a 40/50 standard camshaft.

We have made some tests on tappet clearance and noise. With the existing 40/50 standard camshaft we find that tappets start to become noisy at .006 clearance and at .010 the amount of noise is quite intolerable from an R.R. point of view.
