X4013. To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} (Paris) from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/ADL1.11.32. I am coming over to France to get some experience on Peregrine which is running at chateauroux next week. I shall arrive on Monday by air service which gets in to Le Bourget at 11-15 a.m. I then propose to motor down to Chateauroux where I shall remain for a day or so. While I am in France I particularly want to try the Dubonnet car with independent wheel springing. Hives had a run on it during the Salon but it was not sufficiently extensive for him to form an accurate idea of the possible disadvantages of the system. Would it be possible for you to fix some such run for me? Thursday or Friday of next week would be most convenient though naturally I would come up either Tuesday or Wednesday if it had to be arranged then in preference to any other time. I am looking forward to seeing you and Mrs. Hallam while I am over. Kind regards. Yours sincerely, | ||
