X5840a X.5350 We have heard that the failure on the rear axle on 10-G-111 was the thrust bearings to the bevel pinion. It was a mistake on our part that the car ever went to France fitted with these thrust races. Sometime ago we standardised the New Departure type bearing in place of the thrust race, after carrying out tests in France. As this part was standardised it was crossed off our list of experimental pieces. The New Departure bearings which are now fitted to the cars as standard have run through similar tests and were in excellent condition at the finish. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
