TO Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to G/MT. c. to D/BP. 86116 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.7/JH.14.2.36. Faulty Lucas Headlamps. Will you please have returned to the Makers a pair of Lucas P.100 type head-lamps, which have failed in service. Both lamps have failed with respect to the trifod plunger contact, and one of them with respect to the dipping mechanism. These lamps had only travelled a few hundred miles when the fault occured. We would like you to ask Messrs Lucas to modify these lamps to the P.100.R. type, and return as soon as possible. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. for 36 Ex. | ||
