Sft.{Mr Swift} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8050 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}7/EW13.12.27. Sft{Mr Swift}16/EMM12.12.27. Apparently owing to a misunderstanding you have credited us with putting forward the recommendation in the matter of shrinking steel rings on to the extension parts of Phantom Cylinders. As a matter of fact, we raised an objection to this procedure, and declined to put such Cylinders on chassis until the usual Experimental Dept. tests on same had been carried out. Our understanding of the position is, that the matter is one for BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, to deal with, and we are therefore passing your note on to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} with a copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
