Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/AES.1/ME.22.8.41. With reference to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}2/RH.{R. Hollingworth}22.3.41, in which you requested us to send a covering order to The Hoffmann Mfg. Co. Ltd. in accordance with your letter to them, reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}1/ET. of the 3rd March last, you will recollect that controversy has arisen with regard to the quantities supplied by Hoffmann's, and we enclose a copy of their latest letter referring to this matter. It would now appear that the whole of the items mentioned in your letter of the 3rd March last have now been delivered, the majority of them in triple quantities. The only suggestion we can now offer is that you keep the quantities you require for use in connection with this job and we will endeavour to return the balance not required to Messrs. Hoffmann's for credit. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/ABS ATT: Copy of letter dated 19th instant, Ref: CP/MEB. | ||
