26153. W/N. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA.9.10.34. CARS FITTED WITH WIRELESS INSTALLATIONS. Replying to your Br.2/H.8.10.34., with reference to the above, unfortunately we cannot agree to fitting a sparking plug which has a lower heat factor than the existing ones. We are naturally aware of this trouble you mention and are experimenting at Derby with a different method of screening the ignition which will not affect the sparking plug performance. It will be some time however before we can give any definite news on this point. In the meantime we must clean the plugs and if necessary fit new ones in cases where they are very badly fouled. Special care should be taken to see that the sparking plug gaps are not on the small side when readjusting gaps. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
