-2- 3. Attention was drawn to the fact that so far none of the engines coming under S.B.A.C. Group III had been installed in prototype aircraft in power plants to S.B.A.C. standard, neither the Avro "Manchester" nor the B1/38 Rolls-Royce Vulture engine plants being inter- changeable with each other or with the S.B.A.C. standard. It was agreed to approach the Air Ministry regarding their intention to introduce the S.B.A.C. Group 3 standards and if so, when. 4. The Bristol Company produced drawings of the detachable panel for pipes to be applied to Group II and Group III schemes. It was pointed out that the Group II scheme is applied when a separate gear box was fitted, but that the panel would be universal for Group III. It was agreed that Rolls-Royce would check whether the Bristol design could be applied to Rolls-Royce Power Plants. F.{Mr Friese} | ||
