SPORTS PHANTOM TRIALS CAR - EAC.14. --------------------------------- It has now been decided to build EAC.14 as a Sports Phantom Trials car in place of EAC.8, therefore will you please prepare a new typewritten index sheet based on the following, and let us have four copies :- Crankcase and bearings to include stiffer type crankcase and rubber suspension for rear end. Crankshaft with oval webs 3¼" wide, otherwise standard. Pistons - Sand castings of the die cast type. Cylinder to be cast iron modified to take new head. Cylinder head to be the turbulent type giving a compression ratio of 5 to 1. Valve Springs - double type. Flywheel and Clutch to be No.5 lightened type with stronger clutch brake springs. Rear Axle to be same as standard, but to be fitted with 15/52 ratio bevels. Front Axle to be standard except that it must be suitable for front axle control. Steering Column with 2¼" diameter tube, and to suit the new position. - with stay and .720 lead worm. Radiator with integral shutters and shorter tubes. Dashboard - Cast type. Modified Petrol Tank. Battery Box inside frame. Control for Front Axle. Hartford and Hydraulic shock dampers - front and rear. Special Spare Wheel Carrier inside body at rear to suit standard wire wheels. | ||
