Dear Sirs,

Following on the writer's conversation with you at your works on Thursday last in connection with four-corner hydraulic jacking for the Bentley car.

We understand that broadly speaking the scheme put forward for modifying the car to take the jacks and bumper bar arrangements would be acceptable if any alteration is undertaken at all, but that to start with you would like to have a sample hydraulic jack to temporarily attach to one of your cars for the purpose of obtaining a sales re-action to the scheme in general. We are, therefore, forwarding to you under separate cover, a hydraulic jack for this purpose.

The writer further understands that the D.W.S. hydraulic four-wheel jacks as now fitted to the Phantom III cars, although proving completely satisfactory, are in your opinion more costly than anticipated and that the possibility of reducing the price of this set must be seriously considered.

You will appreciate that the entire system as supplied to you is special in practically every part and was designed and produced to your specification and requirements when the job was first laid out.

There is no question in our minds that this price could be reduced if you would be satisfied with our standard product which has proved absolutely satisfactory in the hands of other manufacturers of high-grade cars and which we would be confident in offering you.

We would suggest, therefore, that you investigate
