x209 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW. 30th July, 1934. Messrs. Cleverlys Limited, 12, Berkeley Street, LONDON, W.1. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 28th July. You will note from the attached letter that the supercharger is being supplied free of charge. We do not know how you would like to treat the matter, whether you would like us to pay for it and afterwards get a re-fund. We are, however, most anxious to get hold of the supercharger at the earliest possible moment and would be glad therefore if you would despatch it and we can deal with the financial side afterwards. If for any reason you would rather the Antwerp Branch dealt with the matter, perhaps you would be good enough to communicate with them. With regard to the car itself which we are running, the detonation has now become rather pronounced, in spite of the fact that we are running it on Ethyl. The car has only done about 1200 miles. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
