RE REDUCED LOCK ON 10.G.III

Out-
When the new Steering with Side Pendulum Lever to N.S. 2065 was fitted to the above car the Right Hand lock was reduced from 40° to 36°. It was found impossible to obtain the 36° lock owing to the tyre fouling the Side Steering Tube. It was also found impossible to set the Side Steering Tube to clear tyre as the tube would have fouled the Rear Suspension Bracket for Front Springs.

This question was taken up with the D.O. and we pointed out that with 33½° lock the Wheel was just clear, so it was then referred to W.W. who agreed to still further reduce the lock to 33½% as shown on drg. F.53971.

We attach copy of instructions received.
