1273 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}9/MH.{M. Huckerby} 23rd. February, 1939. Messrs. Gordon Armstrong Patent Suspension Co. Ltd., Waltham Works, Beverley, E.YORKS. Dear Sirs, We are using your small damper as a dashpot on our Wraith and Bentley. We want to use the same damper on another model also, but only require a few sets: consequently we would like to avoid a die charge for the lever. We enclose a sketch showing the lever we prefer and the limits through which the lever end can be moved relative to the damper body. Will you please say if you have some lever (mild steel) already on production which would meet our requirements and which you would be willing to supply. An early reply would help us considerably. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
