Re:- Guy A.{Mr Adams} Vandervell, & Geoffrey Vandervell. -------------------- We thank you for your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R9.11.36, and we note that you are in touch with Mr. Guy Vandervell's concern over bearings. As soon as we hear from you that they can go in the engine of a 4 1/4-litre Bentley for his use, we have no doubt we shall get the order. Concerning Mr. Geoffrey Vandervell who has now purchased a 4 1/4-litre with standard Coupe body, the weight question was carefully discussed with him, but in view of the fact that he wanted the car urgently he decided not to have a body specially built. Also he would not make any particular sacrifices in regard to body design. We are therefore bearing in mind that you may be able to develop a high compression cylinder head, which will give improved performance. As soon as you can give us further information, we should appreciate hearing from you. Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} | ||
