GREASE FOR FANS - WRAITH & ALL CHASSIS.

We have run 15,000 miles on 8.B.V. car with Mobil-grease No. 6 (water pump grease) as the fan lubricant and find it entirely satisfactory - in particular it helps to prevent loss of grease. Actually, with this grease and the felt seal used on B.III (and also Wraith) no grease whatsoever was lost during the 15,000 miles run.

Accordingly will you please instruct production to pack all future fans, B.II, Wraith and Ph.III with Mobil-grease No.6 grease, the bearings being immersed in the liquid heated grease and allowed to cool in same, while the hub should be packed by pouring in molten grease when the spindle and rear bearing have been fitted.

This grease and method of packing could well be used by the Service Depts. on past Ph.III cars when the fans are stripped for other reasons.
