PETO & RADFORD BATTERIES.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} has handed me a copy of your letter of the 6th inst. written to Messrs Peto & Radford.

I am of the opinion that we should have the same dimensions of Ebonite separator fitted to both Exide & P & R; since the Exide thickness of .5 mm. gives no trouble, I suggest that this would be the correct one to use.

I believe we had some trouble occasionally from the ebonite sheet pinching through when .4 mm. was used previously. Unless P & R.{Sir Henry Royce} can demonstrate to us that the ebonite then used was inferior to the ebonite they are now using, it seems to me to be a retrograde step to go back to a thickness which was originally complained of.
