X4310 When it is desired to change the throttle is always closed during the operation so that the gears can be relived. When the clutch is out, just as it becomes free, the pedal might work a valve, thus - FOR SKETCH SEE ORIGINAL. and admit suction to a cylinder which might throw out the Salerni or similar clutch on the transmission or gearbox side-shaft.
