Honeyman - Retail orders}10/MD.7.1.36., we consider the new Philco radio set to be the best of the three you have mentioned, the only part about it being that it is not entirely British. The interesting thing about the Philco set is that it is more easily accommodated on the Bentley chassis than any of the other sets. As an alternative to the Philco we suggest the Ekco is quite one of the best British sets made. With regard to your remarks regarding suppressors it will probably be found that if the new Philco set is used no suppressors will be required on the sparking plugs providing a dipolar aerial is used under the car. In any case we do not recommend Radio plugs, in our experience they definitely interfere with the performance of the sparking plugs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
