re B-V's. C.2/C.11.2.41.

I note that there are only three gearboxes available in London. I thought we were getting short. When Jack Barclay was up here, I tried his car, and the gearbox was in very bad shape.

I therefore, recommended that Cricklewood should have it and fit a new box, and let us have the one ex Barclay's car to put right.

I confirm that we will deal with Devereux car, and that our representative will collect it today, when the Trials car will be returned to N. Also that you will let Mr. Boddy have the Trials car on Saturday February 22nd for a trial run on Sunday February 23rd.

re H.R.H. The Duke of Kent.

I would like to let him have a car. In the meantime I suggested that you should get one completed, and that we should have it in the Experimental Dept., for reference, as we have nothing which remotely resembles the production B.V. here at the moment.

I attach a copy of some critisms of the B.V. body, which you may want to get Ward to rectify.
