Referring to the new type of belt, of which we submitted two lengths originally, one for use on the fan and one on the dynamo, and which later I particularly asked you to check with reference to the question of the belt clearing the epicyclic gearcase of the starting gear, can you give me any information on this, as I am afraid Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} , will by acting upon En's suggestion that the belt was good and to be preferred over the Whittle type and may have therefore got an order moving with the suppliers of the new type of belt.

P.S. O+O. {Mr Oldham} inform me that the above belting is on order.
