Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}9/LG18/3.3.26. OBJECT OF TEST. Improvement to carburetter on 20 HP. TESTER. A.C.Lovesey. CONDITIONS. Road and bench tests. SUMMARY OF TEST. A characteristic of the 20 HP. carburetter has always been that there is, on sudden acceleration, a hesitating period due to weakness. Tests shows that this is due to lag on the petrol from the high speed jet. With an accurate metering carburetter this still exists. This fault is not so manifest on the xxxx Phantom.
