GOSHAWK 11. FRONT AXLE. X4263
With reference to R7/M131221 the axle in question was produced by Messrs. Vickers. In addition to this every axle is tested to ensure its heat treatment being correct, as we realise the importance of the front axle being beyond question.
With reference to the question of Steering Levers, these are forged to shape in the dies and are not bent or worked at all after leaving the dies. The dies are arranged so as to balance out the forces on the inclined faces of the levers and are such as to prevent side shocks being thrown on to the dies during the impact.
