NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I CHASSIS.

Carburetter Mixture Control.

It has been reported to me that the levers operating the mixture control on the 'New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I' are very liable to damage if the bonnet should be lifted for any purpose when the mixture control is set hard over rich.

In these circumstances, the lever projects considerably from the carburetter and is very liable to be caught by the bonnet side as it is replaced, and damage may easily be caused without it being observed.

N. report they have already had to deal with cases in which this has occurred.

It would seem advisable either to make some alteration in the method of operating the control, or to so protect the present levers that this cannot happen.
