Q. 2. Reserve Supply. Do you think our present reserve supply system can be improved ? Quote any cars which are superior to us, with particulars of the system employed.

A We are satisfied with the standard reserve scheme provided our recommendation in No. 3 is carried out. The operating tap should be accessibly fitted on instrument board.

Q (3) Petrol Tank Contents Gauge. Quote any other make of petrol gauge which is superior and more reliable than the K.S. Telegauge.

A We are not aware of any proved superior gauge to the Smith Electric Gauge.

Q (4) Petrol Filter. Do you think our present system of filters can be improved upon with regard to efficiency and accessibility ?

A We do not think that any definite improvement can be suggested by us with a view to improving our system of petrol filters. The complaints over a longish period do not indicate that trouble or inconvenience tend to arise in respect of the present system.

STEERING.

Q In what respects does our steering need improvement (lock, joggles, shocks, ease of shunting etc.) Quote any other makes which you consider superior to us in any respect.

A Steering is so much influenced by other features on a car, such as spring flexibility and damping. It appears to be difficult to ensure a steering however good remaining "put". We certainly desire a high degree of selectivity and avoidance of steering-wheel shocks and joggles, whilst ease of manoeuvring is important. The 20 H.P. Alvis appears to have steering much freer from shocks than in our case.

BRAKES.
