We have recently carried out further tests on a P.III. chassis with the L.T. primary connections on the top of the coil reversed. This has the effect of reversing the polarity of the secondary winding. The performance of the engine with excessively large plug gaps is much improved and misfiring which would normally occur on the 'pick-up' with increase of plug gap is obviated.
