RE: PARTS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE 3.B.50 CHASSIS. After a discussion with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, and BY/NS.{Norman Scott} it was decided that HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} would need to get the following pieces on 3.B.50 chassis before it goes to the coachbuilders.- (1). Hanging rear shackle. (2). Rear Crossmember and any brackets welded or permanently fixed thereto. (3). The special sheet metal dash. The following arrangement has been made to supply HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} with the details at the earliest date :- (1). Hanging Rear Shackle. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} will have details ready by the weekend. (2). Rear Crossmember. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} will have details and frame drilling ready by weekend. Petrol Tank Supports on Rear Crossmember. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/JP. will produce a scheme and details by weekend. Exhaust Swan-neck Support on Rear Xmember. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Mc.S. agrees that this/may be a bolt on fitting for this Chassis and therefore is not urgent. (3). Special Sheet Metal dash. BY/CS. will supply Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} with a detail of the component minus drilling for Wraith 80, by Friday next. We have already drawings of the outer flange contours for B.5, R.50 and Wraith 80, and so we can give HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} drawings to enable him to produce a dash pressing, not only for 3.B.50 but also 10.B.5 and 30.G.7. all of which are urgent.
