BENSPORT BRAKE LINKAGE.

We send herewith N. sch. 3684. - quarter sketch of the brake linkage layout embodying the proposed inverted levers on the foot brake linkage, with a straight crossmember under the transmission.

We believe you are already acquainted with most of this proposal, but on the question of the connection between the pedal and the gearbox countershaft we now make a further suggestion that two pedal shaft bosses should be cast on the 25HP. clutch pit, one in the standard position for the 25HP. and the other lower down for Bensport. It will be recalled that the original 25HP. had this feature.

As compared with the present push rod arrangement we obtain a better proportional pedal, lighter load on the linkage and bearings, and better geometry.

We suggest the clutch pit could be added to those pieces held up from production until the boss has been added to the pattern.
