To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} X 1155 + Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.14.11.35. 45° Timing Gears. In addition to B-15 and B-9 units which we have handed over to Pritchard for fitting the 45° gears, we want to get other units running so fitted. From now onwards all the big bore 20/25's and Bentleys will have 1½ to 1 speed dynamos. It is therefore essential that Pritchard should get some dynamo gears with this ratio cut with a 45° angle. If they are available in time, we should like to fit a set to B-19 unit before it runs 10,000 miles, but this engine will undoubtedly be built up in about a week.
