Y6095 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} or. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X 6063 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/ER7.1.32 Magnetos on 20/25 Chassis. Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/est.5/AD25.1.32 we would not be agreeable to the magneto being/deleted unless a spare coil were fitted up in position so/that it could be brought into use as easily (if not more easily) than the magneto can now be brought into use on this model. We should also consider it essential, if the magneto were deleted, to have a warning light to indicate that the ignition was left on. We should be glad to know what economy there would be by deletion of/the magneto and carrying out the above, and also taking/into consideration any extra design work or tools that might have to be made to bring the alteration into effect.
