For an engine to be turned down on road test for a noisy gear.

General Position - Buicks.
They are probably the most conservative of G.M. Companies. They are still supporters of the straight eight.
They still use Cast Iron pistons and white metal bearings.
They do not like the double plate clutch and will revert to the single plate as soon as they can.
They are making a small light eight to be somewhere in the Pontiac Class i.e. just better than the Chevrolet, so that they can get a reasonable volume of production.
They have a spring drive in the Clutch Centre
Vacuum pump below petrol pump for operating wind screen wiper.
They are using a 8-leaf spring driven flywheel at the front end of the crankshaft on their new job.
They use a Marles steering with needle roller bearing in the pendulum.
