re. FRAMED INSTRUMENTS. โˆš8530

We gather from your wire that we are unable to fit one of these patches to the next 10,000 mile sports car. This we presume is in view of the fact that the car may be seen by all sorts of people later on.

We are very anxious however that one of these framed patches should do 10,000 miles, and we suggest therefore that we ask permission to fit a patch to the body on the next 10,000 mile experimental edition of the standard chassis. This we believe is to have the body now on 12-EX.

We would like to know what we are to fit to the sports car. We do not like the Barker group scheme, and think that it is technically wrong. Will these chassis be fitted with our improved shutter and mixture controls, or will they have the standard design now in use? We do not like the standard design. On a fast car we feel that the lighting of the instrument board is a vital problem, and diffused lighting is the only safe and real solution. Since we cannot have this we presume we shall have to adhere to the ordinary lamp-post variety of instrument board light, which cannot be permanently left on with safety, and therefore we shall be unable to change gear in conjunction with the engine rev. counter, which we propose fitting as standard to this model.
