661 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 9th March, 1939. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Bradshaw, Esq., Greenhedges, Ditton Hill, SURREY. Dear Dorman, Thank you for your letter of March 2nd. Regarding the car that Mrs. Blay is proposing to purchase, personally, I think that she would find a Limousine Wraith the most comfortable car for her purpose. The P.III has an unnecessarily large engine, and is extravagant to run unless you want superlative performance. I think that Jack Barclay always puts rather expensive bodies on his cars, and these do not always give one very good value for money. I think that a Wraith with a very nice Park Ward Limousine body ought to be purchasable for not more than £1,700. I suggest that you contact Mr. Bleaney of Bentley Motors Ltd., who is a personal friend of mine and is stationed at Conduit Street, London, and he ought to be able to tell you just what is available. Am sorry not to be able to give you more exact information, but we are situated rather a long way from London here. I have just had a brief holiday in Switzerland, which has done me a lot of good. Yours sincerely, | ||
