Galibier 8400 ft. 2nd Gear and occasional 1st Gear on hairpin bends. Atmospheric temp at commencement of climb ie. 6800 ft. 13°C. Water temp at top of climb ie:- 8400 ft. — 85°C. Radiator and bonnet shutters full open. Both tests carried out with 4 people in car PN{Mr Northey} driving. Water in radiator was examined at the top of Galibier, by PN{Mr Northey} and myself and not one drop of water had been lost. PN{Mr Northey} was agreeably surprised. The only criticism today was the boom in the body at 40-50 MPH particularly on overrun. Mileage run today - 125 miles. Petrol used. - 80 litres. Gord Hyman. 26-6-29. X 76 | ||
