In connection with Stocktaking, the Accountants Department sent me information upon various items under G1/52/EW/10.1.28.

For instance, Body ex 9-EX, I understand you consider is scrap. Body ex 10-G3 is no longer on a chassis, a new body having been fitted to 10-G3.
There also bodies ex 5-G2, 2-G2 and 4-TX.

We think it possible that we might be able to use up some of these bodies, as if the shell is fairly up-to-date in design it might pay us to have them thoroughly done up and sell them on secondhand chassis that we often get hold of.

I therefore propose arranging for Mr. Honeyman (who looks after all our coachwork) to examine these bodies, if you agree and they are of no further use to you, the next time he is at Derby.

Re 9-NK. This appears to consist of a Silver Ghost chassis and Barker Open Touring body. The engine was, I understand, removed to be used as a spare for CJ's boat. The engine has since been purchased back by the Company, and we therefore now have it in stock.
In the meantime I understand that a New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I engine has been fitted into this chassis, and I was wondering what would be the best method of obtaining as much as possible for these various units.
Presumably you want the car for Experimental purposes at present, but I should imagine that when you have finished with it the best method of disposing of the lot would be to replace into this frame its original Silver Ghost engine, unless this involves tremendous alterations; we could then sell 98-NK as an old type Ghost, whereas it might be very difficult to sell it with the Phantom and give some correct description of it, inasmuch as the chassis is so much older than the engine. If this were done, the Phantom engine removed could probably be used up elsewhere.
However, there is no necessity to go into this now unless you are finished with the car.
