X.4383 - 20 HP. DYNAMO OUTPUT.

Answering your EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 9/H24.7.23, as soon as possible it is our intention to take an actual output curve on the road of a machine which has been carefully set by us to to present production test, and we will let you have a curve showing the result. This will be a model output curve to which the dynamo should work, the ignition current having already been automatically subtracted.

We are also making a bench output curve of a dynamo similarly set, taking the temperature at 81°C, this being a temperature figure which we have proved by the use of dynamo sentinels is sometimes reached on the chassis. Therefore, these two curves should agree. This latter curve will be ready first and will be sent to you as a preliminary.

As regards your second paragraph, we are of course going into the question completely as regards the increase of output and you will about this time see our report EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 3/T25.7.23 in this connection, and the instructions we have got out at your request for the use of your outside men.
