Bentley Gallery Oil Pipe.
EB-305 Arrgt. Restriction Tests.

Commencing with the complete oil feed assembly, the pressure being regulated by varying the rate of oil supplied, the delivery at each bearing cap connection was measured.

The pipes were dissembled in stages, the deliveries being measured at each stage.

From the attached results it will be seen that each detail of the bearing oil feed assembly produces some restriction to the oil flow, the greatest restriction occurring in E.59483 oil tubes. These, however, supplied the necessary evening up of the distribution.

The total deliveries, shown in Graph II, also illustrate the restriction due to each set of fittings.
