Messrs Rolls Royce, Ltd.,
Derby.
For the attention of Mr Hives.
Dear Sirs,
Some time ago when I was at your works you were good enough to inform me that when we were ready with our moulds for straight-sided tyres, 33 x 5, you would be pleased to have a set of these for testing purposes, at special terms.
We have only recently got this mould and a set of these tyres have now been forwarded. We have not so far been able to give these tyres a road test ourselves but we are sufficiently confident that they are up to the mark and we have every reason to anticipate that they will give satisfactory running and we are very desirous that you will keep a record of the behaviour of these tyres.
The writer hopes to be in Derby next month to see for himself how they look from time to time, and trust you will be able to put them in commission at once.
Yours faithfully,
THE NORTH BRITISH RUBBER COMPANY, LTD.,
J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Asbury Bailey
Manager,
Coventry & District Branch.
