PHANTOM III - RUBBER SUSPENSION FOR EXHAUST SYSTEM.

Please receive herewith

E.CD.705 Bentley lll type Exhaust Suspension adapted to Phantom lll Silencer.

E.CD.707 Bentley lll type Exhaust Suspension adapted to Phantom lll Tail Pipe.

These designs follow the general lines of the previous design LeC.5761 for rubber mounted exhaust system as applied to Phantom lll, only that as far as possible we have used the latest Wraith lll and Bentley lll details and shown them applied to the standard exhaust system instead of the straight through system shown on LeC.5761.

Will you please detail and instruct the new parts for the next 15,000 miles test car, with a view to replacing the spherical type supports, which occasionally develop squeaks.

We attach prints of these designs to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} for his observations relative to the coachwork.
