Roy{Sir Henry Royce} from Sft.{Mr Swift} Wcr. Ry. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x5980. Sft.{Mr Swift}1/MM.14.7.32. RECEIVED 14 VII 1932 20/25 HP. LUBRICATION. Ref: Roy{Sir Henry Royce}8/MG.12.7.32. We think Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} has misunderstood our note on 20/25 HP Lubrication. We do not suggest any alteration in supplying and fitting the present system of Bijur Lubrication, and agree that Drip Plugs in any case are better supplied by Lucas. Our remarks were confined to the proposed new design of Lubrication fittings, now being tried out in Experimental Dept. and/or any similar modification to the present 20/25 HP design of fittings. The reason for our note was that we understood a suggestion had been made to place the new 20/25 HP Lubrication out to Lucas as a unit. We could not agree with this unless the Works were first given an opportunity to quote. Sft.{Mr Swift} | ||
