GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Please deal with this. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hsr & Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} want to put Concertina pieces on production forthwith. c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 350X328 Phantom III Gearbox With reference to the testing of the "Concertina" top and 3rd speed sliding piece, we think that before we can conclude that this is satisfactory it should be tried with bushes which have whatever clearance is thought to be the maximum that will occur in practice due to limits and wear. We also think that it is important that a test for flexibility should be made at an early date as this will give an idea of the capacity of the bellows for absorbing movement.
