Tests on R-R aero engine Petrol Pump.

CONDITIONS.
Hangar test.
SUMMARY OF TEST.
The relief valve on the pump was a failure. When the relief valve was done away with the pump worked very satisfactorily. Without the relief valve the pump works better than the R.A.E. type petrol pump - see report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TAG/LG27.6.25. We consider the improvement is due to the method of oiling the pump gears.
