R.R. 493 (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} ORIGINAL EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. COPIES TO: (R)(CJ)(BJ)(WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager})(By)(E)(DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design})(EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}) PNMOYR (RG{Mr Rowledge}) Expl. No. 7409 / X4535 REF. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG29.9.25. OBJECT OF TEST. Tests on R-R aero engine Petrol Pump. TESTER. A.{Mr Adams} A.{Mr Adams} Rubbra. CONDITIONS. Hangar test. SUMMARY OF TEST. The relief valve on the pump was a failure. When the relief valve was done away with the pump worked very satisfactorily. Without the relief valve the pump works better than the R.A.E. type petrol pump - see report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TAG/LG27.6.25. We consider the improvement is due to the method of oiling the pump gears. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
