MACLISE ROAD, LONDON, W.14 LFD/JJ. 2nd June 1939 W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sir, Further to your letter of 24th May, Mr. Hall is forwarding a new and larger heat exchanger. As soon as possible after this is received, would you please inform me whether or not it appears to be suitable. We are at present working on a gear box which incorporates the drive for a sea water pump and it may not therefore be necessary to provide for this on the engine itself. We expect to have drawings available within the next few days and shall therefore be in a position to confirm this arrangement at a later date. Yours faithfully, METROPOLIS GARAGES LIMITED MANAGING DIRECTOR. [Handwritten notes] Top right corner: 262. Poole Next to date: SWDL.{Len H.
