To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} & By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hl. X354 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}13/KW.1.10.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Valve Seats. Banks of the Ethyl Corporation criticised our SpectreCodename for Phantom III valve seats rather severely from the point of view of lead attack when he was at the Works the other day. Attached is a copy of a letter he has since written. We shall be glad if Hl. could provide us with sufficient material to make two dozen exhaust valve seats for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, so that we can carry out some tests.
